Hey! My name is Jacquekia (sounds like Jah-Kee-Uh), but you can call me Kia. I originally started Hair in the Mirror back in 2019 after my mom passed away. I was still an undergrad and I was looking for a way to make extra money to support myself and my younger sister. I always loved the versatility and convenience that hair extensions offered, but I didn't love the hit or miss quality that I was experiencing from the brands I shopped with. Realizing I couldn't be the only one suffering from this, I decided to turn my love of hair into something I could share with others. From there, Hair in the Mirror was born.

Life happened, and I took a break from running a business. I went back to school and got my Master's in Chemical Engineering. As much as I love working will cells, I couldn't deny the love I have for helping other women re-discover their confidence. I took the time away to elevate myself so I could properly pour into my business. I'm back with even better quality and the same mission to end your hair depression. Thank you for supporting! My goal is to cure your hair depression by prescribing hair that heals and lasts for years, giving you multiple uses and styles. I chose high quality products to provide you with both versatility and convenience, while helping you feel your best when you step out to make your mark on the world.

Hair in the Mirror

Hair in the Mirror provides pure human hair, with no synthetic strands or fibers included. All hair is ethically sourced with cuticles in tact and aligned, to minimize tangling and shedding. During the vendor search, I chose to work with smaller factories that allow my input during the manufacturing process and can meet my quality requests.

Every item is thoroughly inspected prior to being shipped to you. This is to guarantee consistency in the quality of the products. All lace is inspected for small knots, proper lace type and size. Wigs are also inspected for proper construction (stitching, addition of combs and bands, proper wig cap size, fullness, length, texture). All bundles are carefully inspected for proper wefting and no loose threads. Hair is measured to make sure it is true to the length ordered. I wash, condition and air dry all hair prior to shipping so that I can observe the behavior of the hair and make sure it meets the quality standards of Hair in the Mirror.
